    I open each picture and save it again, which most of the time decreases the size 20-70%. This set was initially 450MB.

    I have no idea how that could happen ^ - just because the image has the same dimensions doesn't mean it wasn't resampled to a lower dpi/bpp - maybe check all your software settings. [img]images/smilies/confused.gif[/img]
